SC-320 Series

Texmate NZ SC-320 programmable controllers are ideal for either stand-alone control, or as a PLC interface. These compact controllers feature a built-in, 2 x 8 digit LCD display, and are hassle free to install, with an easy snap-on clip for a 35mm DIN rail.

Display

The SC-320 front panel has five buttons and an inbuilt 2 x 8-digit LCD display. It also features a screw-terminal port for serial output (see below).

There are no display alternatives for this controller. Custom branding may be added if required.

Analogue Input

Your SC-320 programmable controller can be used with ONE internal module from our extensive index of Analogue Input Modules. Up to 8 input channels are accepted.

Analogue Output

Select a maximum of ONE option only from each section in the table below. Your SC-320 series base controller does not include any analogue output by default, however you may add it if desired. One serial port will be installed as standard, however you must specify whether you would like RS232 or RS485.

Analogue outputs are used to retransmit process variables to PLCs and SCADA systems. They can be used to control outputs, (such as valves, motor drives and chart recorders) or to add a transmitter function to the controller.

Serial Output
S2	1 x RS232 (screw) + cable
S4	1 x RS485 (screw) + cable
Serial outputs are used to set up and calibrate the controller using a PC. They can also be used to drive external printers and modems, communicate to PC's/PLCs and retrieve logged data. Texmate NZ serial output is compatible with SCADA systems.

Digital I/O

Your SC-320 controller comes standard with 2 relay outputs (5A, Form A) and 4 function pins which can be configured as digital inputs.

You may also opt to include a digital I/O expansion (pictured, right), which adds 8 x digital inputs and 8 x digital outputs (4 x form C, 4 x O/C). This expansion can be used in combination with the standard digital I/O's.

Note: The digital I/O expansion is factory appended to the side of the SC-320, and cannot be removed. The expansion increases the total width of the unit to 70mm.

Memory

Your SC-320 series base controller does not include any memory by default. Data-logging and real-time clock will be enabled when you opt for this memory upgrade.

Data-logger logs up to 4 channels at 4,000 samples. Real-time clock has a 5 year lithium battery backup and displays Year:Month:Date:Hour:Minute:Second.
